Iku Wholefoods on Bronte Road is a fabulous little find for those who love their tasty, vegan, macrobiotic goodies. Iku prides themselves on freshness and healthiness. Their food is delivered fresh from their kitchen in Marrickville daily. They have a wide range of gluten free products to choose from too.

Iku features plenty of savoury options such as mushroom dahl curry and mouth-watering pies, macro burgers, tarts, lasagnes, and soups. They offer in-house kombucha by the bottle and glass. Ask for a sample.

I would highly recommend the adzuki bean, pumpkin and ginger tart with white miso topping. It is delicious, savoury and filling and comes with salad and dressing for only $11.90. You will feel full and satisfied and not left with that hungry feeling a few hours after eating. If you are in the mood for something sweet you cannot go past their famous sago pudding.

Unfortunately they do not serve coffee, however they have wonderfully sweet and spicy chai tea available, made with maple syrup and coco-quench coconut milk $3 with any purchase (or $4 on its own). The best Middle Eastern inspired biscuit to go with it is called a Marabar and is a scrumptious delight; made with semolina and pistachio for only $4.20.

A relaxed and friendly atmosphere with prompt and attentive service will welcome you to Iku Wholefoods Bronte. They do takeaway and an eat in service until 7: 30pm weekdays. They are generous with the portions and offer specials if you purchase more than 2 snacks at once. They even let you sample curries and casseroles if you are undecided.
