Healthy take away may sound like an oxymoron, but believe it or not the two can actually go together thanks to Iku Wholefood. Iku Wholefood has definitely become one of my favorite stops for healthy take away. Iku's philosophy strives on freshest vegetables that are organic and menu items that are for vegetarians or vegans.
Unlike a typical take away shop, Iku makes sure that food is prepared closest to it's most natural state- meaning no excessive oil, no preservatives, no emulsifiers and none of those chemicals which we probably don't know are in our foods.
After eating at Iku, I feel refreshed and full without having consumed anything artificial or full of chemicals. Thanks to Iku, take away can be a healthy option.
My all time favorite at Iku are the desserts, but in particular the Strawberry and Rosewater Flan served with Rice Cream. Although they don't have it every day of the week, pop in occasionally to see whether they have it or not (Iku's menu's change from day to day).
The salads are a fantastic option as well. with delicious options that include beans, coleslaw and brown rice.
The store is open 11am-8pm on Weekdays, 11am-5.30pm on Saturday, and 11am-4pm on Sunday.
