I sometimes struggle to come up with a gift idea because I try to spend my money on something the recipient actually wants. That's why I love the idea of fruit gift baskets; they're something that will
always be welcome. Everyone has to eat, every day, and who doesn't love juicy, fresh fruit?

igiftfruitHAMPERS offers a gift that will always be welcome
igiftfruitHAMPERS has
a whole lot of different fruit hampers you can choose from and the basis of them all is
quality, in season fruit. There wasn't so much as a blemish on anything I received, which included
quite a variety of fruit and a convenient amount of each (I had lots of apples and a single lemon and lime). Not all of the fruit was quite ripe when it arrived either, which made it easier to eat over a period of time (this was particularly the case with nectarines and peaches, which probably wouldn't travel well soft).

As you can see, my hamper (the Red Roses with Ferrero Chocolates box) included apples, mangoes, plums, kiwi fruit, peaches, nectarines, passion fruit and more
Extras you may choose to include in your fruit hamper include wine, Ferrero chocolate, silk roses, a teddy bear and other items. Since these hampers are sent as a gift, including some of these extras means the recipient also has a lasting memento.

This hamper features chocolates and Te Hana Reserve Cuvée, a sparkling wine from New Zealand

All of the fresh fruit hampers are
delivered in a wooden box that offers great protection for the fruit, so you can be sure everything will arrive just as the fruit artist packed it. These boxes, in fact, are as much a part of the gift as the food itself; they're sturdy, a very decent size and are made to be reused for things like storage and herb gardens (it's a gift that keeps on giving really).

Inside the boxes, fruit is packed in a single layer on a bed of straw, with tissue paper as padding. Over the top is a layer of bubble wrap. This photo was taken as soon as I uncovered the fruit: everything looks perfect.
With the variety of fruit gift baskets on offer you can find ones for
many different occasions; perhaps you might surprise your mum at home on Mother's Day, or use it so say Thank You to a friend (think of the hampers as a great replacement for flowers). One of the best reasons, I think, to send one is as a corporate gift; it's something that whole office enjoy. At the right time of year, like Christmas, particular options that offer an entire box of fruits like cherries are perfect.
When you purchase a gift hamper you get to choose the date you want your box to arrive and same day delivery is possible in some areas if you order before 8.00am. Deliveries can be made to any
location in New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. Shipping is free too.
You can buy your fruit hampers online or check out the products and prices
here. The most basic fruit hamper in a wooden box costs $65.00, but you can change the contents and size easily.
