It's the only way to fly

The long wait is finally here. The countdown has begun. Tickets went on sale on the weekend for iFly, set to open in Sydney. The exact date is yet to be announced but sometime in the first quarter of 2014, half of Sydney will be heading out to Penrith to try this amazing experience.
We first stumbled across iFly in Singapore, and as soon as I saw the clip on the web, I knew we had to do it. We booked, and we all loved it, from the youngest child up to this little old lady! It's hard to describe the joyous exhilaration, but if you watch all the participants smiling gleefully at each other as they eagerly await their next turn, you'll get the idea.
So what is iFly, you ask? It's an indoor skydiving windtunnel, simulating the free fall of a parachute jump. Sounds scary? It's not! There is plenty of training in preparation, and an instructor is with you the whole time, standing close at hand and monitoring what you do. It's amazing how quickly you get the hang of it, and can soar upwards on your own.
My advice, when you book, make sure you opt for the photos or DVD, because you will want them!
If you get in quick, there's even a competition to be a test pilot, so head to the website to enter.
This experience is one not to be missed, so as soon as the general first time flyer tickets go on sale, consider a family Christmas present! It's rare to find an activity to be met with enthusiasm by every family member.
