The man of colours fires up in electric blue
Iconic Australian band Icehouse are touring the country celebrating the 30th anniversary of the megahit album Man of Colours. As well, they celebrate 40 years of playing together live as they sweep across the nation. The first leg of the tour finished in June but another show at the Palais has been scheduled on 17 November to finish the year on a high.
Iva Davies and the band will be performing some of their greatest hits from this album including 'Great Southern Land', 'We Can Get Together', and 'Can't Help Myself'. As well, with the Man of Colours album celebrating the 30th anniversary of its release in September, the biggest hits from that album will feature. Songs such as 'Electric Blue', 'Crazy', 'Man of Colours', and 'Nothing Too Serious' will fire up the night.
Man Of Colours was No. 1 on the album charts for 11 consecutive weeks and won 2 Aria Awards. The single 'Electric Blue' also won the Most Performed Australasian Popular Work at the APRA Music Awards.
As a special commemoration, a multi-coloured vinyl will be released in September which will be a reprint of the original which comprised all the colours of the special editions of 'Man of Colours' which were released.
