Want to do something truly ridiculous this coming summer? Why not try a bit of ice sliding?

Now I can hear your puzzlement from my living room. "What is ice sliding?" you ask. And how can we do any activities involving ice in Brisbane's scorching summer heat? Well don't stress, I will explain the entire nonsensical activity in the forthcoming paragraphs.

**Firstly, What is ice sliding?
**Ice sliding is a beefed up version of water sliding. It is a fantastic activity for adults who still act like children or children with close adult supervision. It gives you the thrill of a day at Wet and Wild with an added element of ridiculousness.

**How does ice-sliding work?
**Ice sliding is not a complicated process, only an exhilarating one. Simply freeze water into a giant block of ice, sit on the said block of ice and ride it down a hill. Just make sure you have a hessian sack or thick material atop of your ice steed to ensure your precious posterior remains frostbite free. To create a block of ice with the perfect aerodynamics, fill an esky or any large container with water and place it in the biggest freezer you can find.

**Where can you Ice-slide?
**You can ice-slide anywhere where a generous slope calls home. We found a lovely steep incline at a park on the corner of Samford Road and upper Kedron Road in Ferny Grove but Brisbane is so hilly that the city was practically made for your ice mount. The hill we chose already had some natural jumps in the side and there was enough grassy space down at the bottom that we didn't end up in a carpark or gravel patch with gravel rash. What we also liked about this park is there were no families or children present, which eliminates the risk of knocking down unsuspecting park visitors. But, if someone does receive an injury, at least you have ice for their bruises (but in all honestly, you are so close to the ground it's pretty hard to get hurt).

Now you know what ice sliding is, you need to start making friends with someone in the hospitality industry… they have access to all the big freezers.
