The coolest bar in Australia, literally. At minus 10C, you will want to rug up before you enter the bar sculptured from 40 tonnes of ice! Luckily, your entry ticket includes snow gear (a warm full-length hooded cape, gloves, and Ugg boots) so even if you're not wearing your winter thermals, you can come inside and experience the wonder of the arctic bar.

Inside is more than just a bar - there are creative ice sculptures, some from movie scenes, as well as fun and easy to play games including Naughts and Crosses, Jenga, and Connect Four; so why not challenge someone to a game as an icebreaker? The sculptures and games change throughout the year, so you can keep returning for a new experience.

If you prefer to drink and mingle, the ice bar offers a range of ice shots served in cool shot glasses made of ice, cocktails, beer, as well as mocktails. The marshmallow infused vodka ice shot is my top pick. Cocktails range fruity concoctions made with vodka, rum, gin, or tequila, with the customer favourite being the Northern Lights which changes colour when you add the pea flower liquor; it tastes great too! Those up for a big night and many laughs, try the triple person ski shot or a surprise beer funnel from an ice sculpture located at the bar.

The experience is to be lived so personal cameras are not permitted, but you can select an entry ticket to use wall mounted cameras strategically placed to capture you at your best with each ice sculpture. You can take as many photos as you like, and then purchase the ones you want for $12 (digital) or $15 (print) each. A keepsake souvenir and fun profile photo inside a bar made of ice your friends will think you're in Scandinavia! In fact, you can buy pretty much everything, from photos to snow gear, as a souvenir.

Ice Bar Melbourne is open every day, except Christmas and Boxing Days, from 10am to 10pm Monday to Thursday, and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. It's open to all, including under 18-year old patrons, who can enter from 10am-7pm supervised by an adult. Entry prices start from $19 (under 18) and $39 for adults, which includes the snow gear and a drink.

Located in the Atrium of Federation Square, with a 40-person capacity, the Ice Bar is perfect for a work/school team building event, hen's night, birthday party, or just to drop in for an icy drink! So head to Ice Bar Melbourne for an ice cold adventure to remember!
