When going to a show at the Lyric Theatre the Ibis is a good place to stay. The location is amazing within walking distance of The Star and all of the attractions of Darling Harbour.



The standard rooms ($259 the night we stayed) are small and clean but the bed is comfortable and the ensuite was well designed with large fluffy towels. As we were not in the room for long, the lack of space was not a problem and was certainly outweighed by the view and convenience of the location.



Many of the 256 rooms in this 3 star hotel offer views of Darling Harbour. The Ibis is 100% non smoking and is fully air conditioned, tea and coffee making facilities are in the room as are a hairdryer and iron/ironing board. The wardrobe space is limited and there is no in room safe. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby, breakfast is available for approx $20 pp and under cover parking costs $55 per day. The Ibis is well placed for transport options. Town Hall Station is less than 15 minutes walk away via a covered walkway to Darling Harbour and the Pyrmont Bridge. There is a light rail station nearby, buses in Pyrmont and ferries at Darling Harbour.





Check in/out procedures were dealt with efficiently by the friendly reception staff. A couple of annoyances are that Wi Fi is available at a cost of $10 per 24hrs, the bar closed too early for us to get a drink after the show and the 1.5% credit card surcharge.

All in all, we had an enjoyable stay at the Ibis and would certainly consider it if staying in that part of the city again.
