Tommy Siegel's day job is touring with his band, Jukebox the Ghost. During the many hours he spent sitting in the back of the tour van he started drawing, eventually accepting a challenge to draw 500 comics in 500 days. This book is a collection of some of those comics, interspersed with some rambling but funny commentary on the project. Siegel's comics cover themes like social media, being addicted to smartphones, music, self-care and adulthood in general.
Some are sweet and silly, but mostly they are more on the dark and cynical side, which is great if that's what you're in the mood for.
I Hope This Helps is a collection of clever comics about life in the 21st century. If you like this book you'll probably also enjoy
I Don't Get It by Shannon Wheeler and
We Are Here Forever by Michelle Gish.
