Stuck for something to do at night with the kids? Try Hyperbowl at Strathpine.
We visited there on a Friday night with our baby, and were pleasantly surprised. It was glow in the dark bowling night and the lanes were all lit up with flashing lights. The bowling lanes were dark to set the mood but not hard to see. We booked a lane, but you could probably just take a risk and show up. About half the lanes were being used when we arrived.

Hyperbowl Strathpine is licensed and serves a good variety of beers, wine and spirits. They also serve a more than adequate variety of hot and cold foods to keep you from being hungry while you're showing off your bowling skills. We chose a plate of nachos and a bowl of potato wedges. Both were served fresh and well presented. They were hot and tasted great.
Good value food is available
As I said earlier, this a great place to take the kids on a weekend, school holidays or at night. The bowling balls come in a variety of sizes for all ages, as do the shoes, and if you opt for one of their regular specials it works out to be a cheap day or night out.
Hyperbowl Strathpine has a lot of
leagues and competitions for those who want to get into it more regularly. They have scoreboards and winners details hanging up detailing competitions for all ages, and competitive regular weekly fees for league players. When we asked about it, we were given all of the detail you could need to decide whether to join a league with them.
Situated above Westfield Strathpine, this is a fun thing to do with the kids or friends. We even saw some people on a date while we were there as well as huge family group having fun. They do
birthday parties as well.
The cinemas are next door to Hyperbowl on top of Westfields, and there is plenty of free parking.
