Hypatia's House, located in the Lockyer Valley Region, is a must-visit haven for book lovers! Inspired by the famed Philosopher of Alexandria, Hypatia's House invites you to explore the world through books and objects de art.Home to a wonderful array of new, used, rare and out of print books, it's the perfect place to find unique books to add to your collection and purchase thoughtful gifts for friends and family! Hypatia's House proudly offers the most comprehensive collection of First Nations authors in South East Queensland, as well as a diverse range of book genres, including mystery, reference, thriller, New Age, fantasy, and children's books. After perusing the bookshelves, you can head to the tranquil reading rooms and enjoy a respite from the daily grind, alongside a delicious International beverage and snack! But Hypatia's House is so much more than a book shop! It's a vibrant and inviting place where you can learn, discover and celebrate arts and culture from across the globe!Instore you will find a plethora of delightful handcrafted and upcycled wares made by talented local and interstate artists - including art, crafts, fashion accessories and preserves! Plus the back room, known as the 'Barn', is a space dedicated to the services of massage therapists, reiki healers and tarot readers. You can also join the growing Hypatia's House community and immerse yourself in a different culture each month!
