There is a special magic to enjoying a bottle of wine in the great outdoors, stopping along a scenic trail to enjoy the views and enjoying a picnic atop the ridgeline. There has never been a better time to safely soak in our beautiful natural environments, and sample a dozen gorgeous wines coupled with a delectable light lunch. Get outside with the Hydropath Society Wine Hikes!

Black Hill Conservation Park
These poet's songs will lead across trails of harmonious wines from Spain and Southern France and the modern Australian versions of Tempranillo, Albarino, Carignan and the like. A noble ode to the allure of Don Quixote and the romanticism attached to this exquisitely rugged region. Drag Dad Outdoors!
Wild Dog Walk
Waite Conservation to Netherby Lookout
This hike is always a highlight for the fabulous incredible natural environments open to us all in the greater ADL region. Start by a scenic frog pond in the Waite arboretum and finish sitting atop a rocky outcrop with impressive City views, complete with swings in the trees! Drinking a dynamic dozen delicious drops!
Breaking out of the Bubble
Carrick Hill to Brown Hill Creek
Optimism is contagious, and here's hoping that a robust and healthy climb to the trig point atop Carrick Hill will elevate the senses as we drink in the views of the City and descend into the cool creekside, all the while, sipping brilliant bubbles and other Tassie treats as well as noble New Zealand treasures from across the ditch.
Sunset Halloween Hike / (Start time will be approximately a half hour before sunset)
Last Year's inaugural Halloween hike was a ripper (or a Grim Reaper?) of a Twilight Zone, wine-time freak show. Starting pre-sunset, we bravely delved into the oncoming darkness, fuelled with fabulously fun wines reflecting the macabre mood, only to peak out as the full moon grazed the night sky and we sat on the dark hillside, sparklers in hand, drinking in the mood. Monsters and madmen alike are encouraged to book early for what is sure to be a brilliant repeat this year. Did I mention Chocolate treats?
The alluring natural draw to this ancient space, which the Indigenous people have always sensed, takes a rigorous start to gain the incredible views back to the city from the Eagle's Nest, but the quenching wines on offer will be worth the effort. From there, as they say, it is mostly downhill! Unparalleled for its cool waterfalls and exquisite, rugged rock walls, this walk around the upper plateau will be coupled with equally beautiful wines of balance and grace.
Given the unknown health variables of 2021, all Wine Hike tickets are fully refundable and transferable to any future dates. A minimum number of hikers is required for each event and confirmation of meeting times will be communicated directly to participants.
