2021 Sunday Sessions- $50.00

There is a special magic to enjoying a bottle of wine in the great outdoors, en plein air, as the French might say. Follow a meandering trail to a brilliant vista and delight in a brisk walk across the ridgeline. The confluence of beautiful natural environments and an incredible selection of a dozen eclectic wines coupled with delectable light lunch provisions and stellar views sums up the Wine Hike Experience.

All hikes begin at 11am from various locations and should finish around 3:30. A good level of fitness is required with average walk distances from 4-6 kilometres with some uphill trails.

Sunday 18 April: Harvest Jubilee Chamber's Gully

Fruit of the vine, nectar of the Gods; vintage season rolls around with an awakening of the senses. Taste the beauty of vineyard designated wines that each reflect the magic of their specifically delicious patch of dirt called 'terroir'.

Sunday 13 June: We'll Never Be Royals Carrick Hill

Lords and Ladies we may not be, but we will celebrate with regal wines after we tour this fabulously feted Estate which links onto the Yurrabilla/HeysenTrail and will guide us to stunning City views. Noble wines we shall unveil indeed, and drink to the health of the Queen.

Sunday 4 July: Citizen Vine Greenhill Road

A toast to Revolutions everywhere! Celebrate with a 'coup' of bubbles and taste the latest trends from talented upstarts who make wines of explosive excitement, bursting with flavour.

Sunday 8 August: Under a Velvet Roof Belair National Park

When Winter months creep in, we break out the silkier wines and the big, bear-hug warming reds that speak of comfort. Hedge your bets on fine weather or slap on some Wellies. There is a lot of tree canopy protection overhead on this gorgeous, nature rich walk and I'll even throw some port in!

Sunday 5 September: Troubadour's Trek Black Hill Conservation Park

These poet's songs will lead across trails of harmonious wines from Spain and Southern France and the modern Australian versions of Tempranillo, Albarino, Carignan and the like. A noble ode to the allure of Don Quixote and the romanticism attached to this exquisitely rugged region.
