The Hutt City Council is celebrating Heritage Month New Zealand by holding their own Heritage Week at the council HQ at 531 High Street, Lower Hutt.

Lower Hutt residents and out of town visitors have been invited to come along and browse the extensive collection of archives and records, learn a thing or two from experts in exclusive seminars being held during the week and uncover the history behind city property.

The seminars will search council records and Heritage New Zealand's objectives about strategies from 30 September to 2 October 2015. Residents and visitors can use the linked site to educate themselves about what is being organised and held during this Heritage Week.

To avoid confusion in the city and without, its actual name is Lower Hutt City, or officially the City of Lower Hutt. To advertise events and functions organised and held by the Hutt City Council it uses the shortened term Hutt City.
