Designer fashion with street food, music & models
*Please note:Hustle&Scout Twilight Markets are taking a break for 2016 and will be back in 2017*
Hustle&Scout Twilight Markets is a designer fashion market that is held four times a year in conjunction with The Forage street food. The markets began in 2013 and showcases independent Australian designers and up and coming talent, providing a market where visitors can buy original and unique designer pieces straight from the designer.
The organisers also aim to provide visitors with an overall experience, with roaming models, impromptu dance performances, street food, live music and workshops to participate in. The event is designed to be a little off centre, with intriguing surprises to delight at every turn.
The market actively promotes local and interstate designers, giving them a step up into the world of fashion. As mentioned on their website "Canberra is fortunate enough to have highly creative Fashion Design graduates from the Canberra Institute of Technology, established labels, collectors of unique pieces – both old and new – fashion bloggers, fashion photographers, stylists…the list goes on".
With such a wealth of local talent, these markets provide a wide range of choice for visitors, with the numbers of market stalls increasing at each event.

This market first began in the NewActon Precinct, a modern and creative community area minutes form the CBD. With great success they then moved to Hangar 47 (above photo) at Canberra Airport and joined forces with The Forage street food vendors, to create a market and food celebration which attracted thousands. Hustle&Scout then moved to the Old Bus Depot Markets location for just one market, before announcing the next market (December 2015) is to be held at the Little National Hotel in Barton. With such an impressive market space at this multilevel carpark, this pre-Christmas event is sure to be popular.
To find out where future events will be taking place and when, see their website and facebook for more information.

Whilst there, don't be surprised if you see the occasional dance performance or models nonchalantly parading down the walkways, wearing designer clothing by stallholders.
During the evening, take a break from shopping to enjoy delicious fare from The Forage food vendors cooking up a variety of dinner options. Sit back with a beer or wine and enjoy your meal whilst listening to live music which is held at each event. Check their Facebook page closer to each event to learn more about the live music on the night.
Hustle&Scout bring a different market experience for Canberran locals and visitors to the city. With designer fashion, food, entertainment and the occasional surprise, it is easy to see why these markets are increasing in popularity at each event. So circle each event date on your calendar and expect the unexpected as you browse the designer collections...
