Sharing a little slice of heaven, that is the Sunshine Coast

Husk and Honey is the Nambour locals' best kept secret. This hidden gem located on Queen Street in Nambour, follows the motto "Going against the Grain" and it does exactly that. This rustic little cafe prides itself on serving freshly prepared, healthy, enjoyable food that is completely gluten and grain free. It has also managed to prove wrong, the common misconception of gluten/grain free food being dry and tasteless. In fact, I would have to say that myth has been busted.
The modesty and character of this charming cafe has a lot more than a great coffee to offer. Its menu brings a whole new meaning to "guilt free" eating with flavour! With the ingredients including seasonal, organic and local produce where possible and the lunch menu changing weekly, there is one thing you can be sure of; that your taste buds will never get bored and there will always be something new to try that is bursting with flavour with every bite.
Husk and Honey also offers a beautiful range of delicious options for breakfast, once again only providing freshly prepared meals. Ranging from something light for the person on the go; with their delicious grain and gluten free fruit toast or chai bread or a colourful seasonal fruit salad with yoghurt, right through to something more satisfying for the person that likes to kick start their day with something more substantial; like scrambled free range eggs on toast, a "big brekkie" or a BLT with a twist. You'll certainly not leave disappointed.
However if a full breakfast or lunch is not something you're looking for, then you can't go past Husk and Honey for a great place to meet up with friends for a coffee or to come and relax and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and maybe just sneak in a piece of one of their heavenly cakes or slices. They certainly know how to spoil you with choice here and you know you are always getting the freshest possible food as they dedicate themselves to only working with the best produce available, onsite daily.
So next time you're taking a drive around the Sunshine Coast, or your appetite is calling out for something a bit different and full of flavour, don't hesitate to stop in and visit the friendly staff at Husk and Honey for an all day breakfast between 8 am and 3.30pm weekdays or 8 am till 2pm Saturdays, or if lunch tickles your fancy between 12 and 2.30pm weekdays or 11 am and 2 pm Saturdays. You will be pleasantly supersized.
I totally agree! I love this little gem! I am not gluten intolerant nor do I live grain free but boy does this taste good! Every time I am around the Sunshine Coast I am trying to go there. Excellent food, tasty, fresh, organic, delicious. Staff is absolutely lovely!
