Well-known by many as one of the best places for coffee in Fremantle, Hush has a new branch set up on Market Street. This could create some serious rivalry to my recently reviewed Blink Espresso Bar. However as many of you locals in Fremantle have learnt or are now learning, all the best coffee houses are down the side streets!
The interior was originally what caught our eye to stop and try the place out, as at first we were unaware of its connection to the other branch. The concrete walls have been stripped back to the brickwork, the furnishings all have an element of quirkiness to them and the upstairs area provides the perfect place for a spot of people watching.
When you walk in there is an instant buzz of energy, coming mostly from the friendly staff who seem to be really passionate and enthusiastic about their coffee and the business. Looks like somewhere you would enjoy working at!
Temptations by the till
Subtly placed by the till are the mouth wateringly good looking cakes and small bites. They honestly taste as good as they look! I look forward to tasting my way through the selection. As well as a savoury range of sandwiches, croissants and the usuals. However what beats the food here are the drinks, potentially the best iced mocha I have tasted, which says a lot as I have tasted many in my time. As well as delicious chai lattes, which my friends assured me were just as nice. For $13.60 for all three we were very satisfied for the lower than average price.
If you have nowhere else better to be than take a wonder down Fremantle's side streets and check this place out, I'm sure it won't be kept hushed for long! As my friend found out it becomes the perfect spot to read the paper in the winter sunshine and just watch the world go by.
