Rosamund House is another of the wonderful 'secrets' of the Broke Fordwich Wine region in the Hunter Valley. This area of the Hunter is immediately distinguishable by its rural charm, but by spending a little time here, you soon realise that there is a sophisticated personality to this quiet country area.

A dozen or so small, stylish cellar doors provide a delightful surprise, serving first class Hunter Semillons, Vedhellos and Shiraz, as well as a range of specialties at some of the outlets, including sparkling wines, Italian varieties and more.

With the addition of two first class restaurants and a couple of gourmet outlets, all within a few kilometres of each other, it is easy to travel around and fill a day or more with the tastes and sights of what the locals call "The tranquil side of the Hunter Valley".

Broke Fordwich retains its integrity as a rural community, remaining free of large scale development yet offering a full range of accommodation, restaurants and cafes, farm gate suppliers and gourmet produce suppliers. You will be amazed by the beautiful wildlife you will see. An abundance of kangaroos, wombats and a wonderful range of birds will highlight your visit.

The Hunter offers much more than wine. You can explore, experience and be entertained in more ways than you can imagine. You may wish to visit the award winning Hunter Valley Gardens or some of the wonderful galleries. The chocolate, cheese and oil factories are always a favourite and there is now a selection of breweries if beer is your preference.

Some of the best golf clubs in NSW are in the Hunter and if you are not wanting to play 18 holes, try the Aqua Golf driving range or Putt Putt Golf. How about a massage or a day at a Spa. Horseriding is another fun way to spend the days or take a helicopter ride. Try the wine, coffee and cooking schools or just take in some good old fashion shopping in the speciality shops at the Hunter Village. You can even take off into the sunset on a hot air balloon or go on a joy ride on a Harley Davidson.

Situated just 3 km from Broke Village, Rosamund House, with its four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large verandah, is an ideal base to use to explore the Broke Fordwich Wine Region.
Ideal for small or large groups in fact, if you have a very big group, there is an almost identically sized house 100m across the paddocks so you could bring up to 18 people.

Some of the comments guests have posted:
The house was great and the views were fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again for sure. Eden the owner was very nice and went out of his way for us....Thank you"
LISA, FEBRUARY 2012

"Beautiful location and very well equipped property. Amazing valley views from the balcony."
RON AND PHILLIPA, FEBRUARY 2012

"The house was lovely and location tranquil and away from all the chaos of the main Hunter Valley but still close enough to get to. In my opinion the smaller boutique wineries of Broke are much better and friendlier anyway."
SHARLENE, FEBRUARY 2012

"Rosamund House was heaven on earth. The owner was delightful and went the extra mile in helping us. The house is spacious and spotless. Rosamund House is now my favourite holiday venue and I can't wait to go back. Thank you Eden!! "
SANDY, FEBRUARY 2011

The house was beautiful. Loved sitting on the balcony overlooking part of the Hunter Valley sipping wine and just soaking up the atmosphere. Absolutely loved it."
