Satisfy your Hunger at the Hungry Baker Cafe
Every time I pop down to Parramatta of late, I seem to find a new little foodie gem has swung open its doors to the hungry hordes that descend on this food loving suburb.

My latest find has been the Hungry Baker Cafe in Station Street. This fabulous spot opened in June this year in the brand spanking new Eclipse Tower. This impressive modern building is home to many companies and their workers make up a large percentage of the Hungry Baker's customers.

Carrot Cake & Coconut Rough Slice

We popped in to the Hungry Baker for an afternoon tea treat recently and were welcomed with open arms by the friendly staff. Most of the baked goodies had been gobbled up by this stage (their motto does state baking since 6am), but there were still a few delicious morsels left for us to try. The carrot cake and coconut rough slice were our favourites. Both were fresh, full of flavour and basically melted in your mouth.

The stand out for me was actually the coffee. Parramatta is spoilt for choice these days with coffee, every corner has a cafe that serves an excellent brew. However the Will and Co coffee that the Hungry Baker serves was brilliant and I loved that it was served in a ceramic take away coffee cup! If coffee isn't your thing don't worry, because the Hungry Baker serve an interesting mix of smoothies and fresh juices to quench your thirst.

The Hungry Baker also serves loads of breakfast and lunch time goodies. They have a delicious assortment of breads available to make your breakfast and lunch choice so much more tempting, or if you are feeling like a healthier option on these sunny days they have a selection of tasty salads that come in a trendy take away noodle box.

Outside of the cafe on the pavement, there is an interesting mix of rustic tables and chairs where you can catch some rays, or if you want to see the real action sit inside the large, cool industrial space and watch the barista and wait staff do their thing. The bare walls have the Will and Co motif stencilled on them and there are both large communal tables and individual tables available for you to sit at whilst you drool over their yummy baked delights.

Sadly the Hungry Baker is only opened at this stage from Monday - Friday. So next time you are in the area during the week, make sure you check out this fine establishment.

I love their tag line, 'baking since 6am'.
