Hula hooping is fun, easy way to get fit and stay active. It stimulates circulation in the body and helps focus the mind, so you get both a mental and physical workout all at once.
The Hoop Tribe is holding an eight-week course to help you get into the swing of things. Come and learn the basics to this simple exercise, and discover how it can help improve your health, your mood, and reconnect with your inner child.
Laugh and let go as you learn how to express yourself through this low-impact, high-cardio exercise. Learn how to hula hoop with your body and hands, and perform tricks and dance routines using the hoop as a prop. By the end of the eight weeks, you'll find an increase in core strength and muscle tone, a clearer, calmer mind, and a reduction in your levels of stress.
Participants of all ages and shapes are most welcome; a good level of fitness is recommended, but you don't need any hula hooping experience to give it a whirl. This course costs $120 for the entire eight weeks, and will be held in Bradfield Park, at 41 Alfred Street, Milsons Point, just next to the station.
