The HQ Complex's main room with its stage and dancefloor
The unexpected new spot for functions in Adelaide's West End is the HQ Complex. The well-known nightclub spot HQ and its joint restaurant The Hindley stand out as Adelaide's world-class home to functions, dining, drinks and entertainment.
"We saw an opportunity to establish a purpose-built, leading live music venue in the heart of the city and, at the same time, add to the revitalisation of West End by providing a quality culinary experience and function space" says HQ's nightclub manager and director Stephen Rose.
Since the $15-million three-story HQ complex opened six months ago, they've hosted a number of private parties, networking events, awards dinners and workshops and conferences. The venue plays to continue setting themselves up as an entertainment hub for your weekday dinners, weekend dancing and functions of all kinds. The HQ and Hindley offer 8 function spaces, including the bar, balcony, main room, mezzanine and booths. Capacity starts as low as 50 seated up to 2000 people for the entire venue.
The many function spaces make them a versatile and flexible location for a range of events and budgets. They have one of the best sound and AV systems in the city alongside experienced functions managers, production technicians and cocktail bartenders. The talented team of chefs led by Shane Piercy can customise the food to cater to all groups and varying dietary requirements from sit down three-course meals to seasonal canapes. As for function music, the HQ can offer more than just an iPod with a list of DJs and bands available.

Gabby's Bar overlooks the Main Room
Starting at the top of the complex, there is the Mezzanine level or Gabby's Bar, overlooking the main room. From seating 100 guests to 500 cocktail, the elegant space featuring its own bar can be made private with soundproof walls.
The Main Room below caters for large-scale events ideal for major corporate functions and events where guests can dine on the iconic HQ dancefloor. With its state of the art light and sound facility can cater for 350 to 1600 people.
For summer functions escape to the Balcony for a cocktail and canapes with up to 150 friends.

The Hindley Bar perfect for hosting casual events
On the ground floor, the Bar and Booths spaces are ideal for casual gatherings like milestone birthday parties and Hen's Nights. Both spaces can be made private and intimate for various guest numbers.
The Hindley and HQ is much more than a nightclub and restaurant with limitless potential for hosting functions and becoming the cornerstone of entertainment and dining in Adelaide's West End.
