It's been just under a month since the newly revamped HQ Complex opened their doors to their new home on Hindley Street. And by the looks of its success, it seems as though the club never closed down in the first place!
A refreshing change from its former residence, the new HQ is all about surprises. Incorporating elements of a cafe, a restaurant complete with dining spaces (known as The Hindley), a well stocked bar, and a nightclub upstairs that doesn't fail to disappoint, the iconic business can now cater up to 2000 patrons in so many versatile ways! Lots of natural light emanates through the wide windows of the front of the Complex and there is a much more inviting and friendly vibe from the staff who work there.
Boasting of 3 unique levels, HQ's $12 million project now offers a more minimalist yet modern approach towards a diverse experience that involves hosting functions, events, whilst simultaneously operating with live music and entertainment. There are already plans to host local artists, such as Pennywise and The Butterfly Effect, who will be in town over the next couple of months.
Qualified Head Chef with over 20 years of experience, Shane Piercy brings his culinary expertise after working in spaces such as the Lion Hotel, Public Caffe and The Sauce Restaurant in Dulwich. As Percy explains, the menu at The Hindley will bring together a beautiful and complementary mix of "classic pub favourites and modern inspired dishes". Patrons can expect to enjoy a truly contemporary Australian dining experience, which will include wood-fired pizzas, steaks and restaurant quality dishes - all of which will be created using locally sourced produce, as well as the finest from abroad. For those who don't venture into town often, all food made at the Hindley will also be available via apps such as UberEATS and Deliveroo, so there's no excuse for missing out on the delicious deals that are available on the menu!
Not holding anything back with their beautiful new space, HQ Complex's 3-tiered space is fitted with quality sound and lighting to provide patrons with the best possible experience on their visit. Visuals and lighting are strong focal points of the new party pitstop and there are facilities such as balcony access, VIP areas, and a function area - Gabrielle's Mezzanine - that can be hired out privately for up to 400 guests.
By offering a bit of everything, the revamped HQ Complex aims to attract an array of different demographics, as noted by HQ Director Stephen Rose. Everyone who visits HQ Complex can enjoy and be entertained in this deceivingly smaller yet more diverse pocket that resides in the heart of Hindley Street.
