Despite not formally being a chronic condition, menopause can have a significant impact on mental and physical health and change the trajectory of a woman's post-menopause quality of life significantly. For some women it passes unnoticed but for others, it marks the beginning of severe weight gain, poor mental health, poor cognitive function, joint pain and soft tissue-related chronic injuries, such as frozen shoulder and achilles tendinopathy.Chronic Care Australia has established an exercise medicine program (that can be completed in-clinic or virtually) to improve the mental and physical health of those experiencing symptoms of menopause.
Is menopause impacting the quality of your life? If so, we invite you to engage in our real-world exercise medicine program. For more information and to register, head to chroniccare.com.au/menopause
