Do your children like to eat fruit? How much fruit do they eat a day? If you don't know the answer, then this article will teach you ways in adding fruit to your child's diet.

Make fruit fun, don't let it be that boring, mundane, annoying thing a child has to eat everyday otherwise they will resent it and choose to avoid fruit at all costs.

Cut fruit up, such as bananas, apples, pears, and strawberries in half and seal it in a little tub and put it into the child's lunchbox.

Offer stickers as rewards if your child eats a piece of a fruit each day.

Make a special time of the day called Fruit Time where each child needs to choose one fruit to snack on for an afternoon or morning tea snack.

Keep the fruit bowl updated and keep it somewhere the kids can reach. Throw away disgusting moldy fruit and keep it fresh, otherwise it'll just look boring and outdated.

Don't force the kids to eat fruit, but make them know it is expected they eat fruit every day.

Replace chocolate desserts with fruits, swap each night after dinner one night everyone gets a chocolate dessert and the next it is a fruit dessert.

Eat fruit with the kids, if they see you're enjoying it then they will too.

Introduce new fruits, don't make it boring with only serving up the same as always. Passion-fruit, limes, lemons, mangoes, rock-melon and plums are all delicious.

Everyone needs 2-5 serves of fruit a day. This can be hard to achieve, so always get the kids to snack on yogurt, milk and cheese strings.

All children enjoy fruit, they just have to be exposed to it first.
