Got a problem with pests that won't go away, or just worried in general? I've written up some tips on how to keep your house clean and for humans only.
Tip 1: Spray heavy duty pesticide spray around the edges of the house indoor and outdoor. Around windows, door frames, near the pantry, pretty much go around the whole house doing this.
Tip 2: Vacuum at least once every second day to get rid of crumbs and dropped food pieces.
Tip 3: Store all your food in big plastic boxes with lids, such as pasta.
Tip 4: Always wipe down the bench, table and under the table to get rid of all traces of food.
Tip 5: Make the kitchen the only place people are allowed to eat. No eating food in rooms other than the kitchen to avoid unnecessary cleanup.
Tip 6: Wrap up rat poison in a piece of bread and leave it along the floor. The pesky bugger will come along and eat it and then go outside to die.
Tip 7: If it's getting too big, call a pest control company. Look around for prices and get the cheapest one you can find.
Tip 8: Inform the kids about how to keep the house clean so it is free from unwanted visitors. Show them how to wipe up their eating spot when they're finished, and you can even get them to take it turns vacuuming once a week.
Tip 9: Keep bug spray out somewhere you can quickly reach for it in case there is a bug around. Keep it out of reach from children so store it on top of the fridge or a TV cabinet.
Tip 10: Cover your bins and always empty them out as soon as they need it.
Hope these tips have helped anyone with a pest problem.
