We all know that feeling on Christmas Night when we look around and see the mountains of waste - discarded wrapping paper, wine bottles and toy boxes. It seems a crime to cram it all in the bin, hoping that it gets emptied soon so we don't have to look at it anymore.
Sometimes it seems to me that Christmas is the season to be wasteful - even a lot of food gets thrown out at my house, or the Christmas food we do have leaves me feeling full and unhealthy. Thankfully, there are ways to make the holiday period more environmentally friendly. Tomorrow night, Thursday 15th December,
Green Renters are having an event to give you ideas on how you can have a sustainable Christmas.
From 6pm until 8pm, guest speakers will let you know not only about how to make your Christmas lunch more environmentally friendly, but how to make your parties and all your entertaining more green. There will be ideas about sustainable drinks and decorations, as well as how you can make your gift giving a little bit green.
For a small price ($5 for adults, $2.50 for children) there will be some festive food and drink on hand, as well as some musical entertainment to get you in the spirit. Towards the end of the evening, the big man in red will be dropping in to see the little ones.
Green Renters are

So instead of feeling as though you have a house full of rubbish this year, pop into Green Renters tomorrow night and get some great ideas on how to make the holiday season more friendly to the planet.
