4 Ideas for Family Fun on Cold Winter Nights

During Winter night time at night my family and I hardly go out anywhere because it's just too cold and being cold is definetly not much fun.

Here is some ways that we like to enjoy our winter nights at home.
1. Make it a movie night, get the kids to choose their favorite movie or make a quick dash out to Blockbuster and get a family movie. Some great family movies that we like are Up, Lion King, A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc and The Incredibles.

2. Have a tasty food night. When it's a cold night and there's nothing to do, I get the boys in the kitchen to do some imaginative cooking. We bake cookies, and the kids add in their own ingredients like chocolate chips or smarties. (Once my son put skittles in his cookies) bake a cake together or even go international and make some mild Indian curry for dinner.

3. Get out your board games and have a family games night. Don't get too competetive and reward the kids (and hubby) with ice-cream or a treat at the end if everybody plays by the rules without squabbling and bickering. Some great family board games we like to play are Monopoly, Trouble, UNO, Panic, Trivial Pursuit, Bop It and Twister.
4. Build a fun fort with the kids, get out your old blankets and pillows, gather the chairs in and tie up blankets over them. get creative, you can even play a board game in there or tell mildly scary ghost stories.
Winter is a great time to connect and have fun indoors as a family.
