How to Design Your Own T-Shirt

Crafty idea for kids (and adults) who like to be creative and design their own unique clothes, shoes or other fabric art items.
I bought some Crayola Fabric Pens, these were inexpensive and I found them at Toys R Us, I then went to Kmart and bought some cheap white t-shirts and some white canvas shoes. Total cost was $20, and now I've bought the pens its just simply a matter of finding items that the children can design on.
Step One:
Insert a piece of paper inside the shirt to prevent the ink from the fabric pens from going through to the other side.
Step Two:
Let the kids (or adults) use the fabric pens to create their own designs and pictures. My kids chose to do some really out there drawings on their shirts; my daughter for example, has designed 'magic beanstalks' going up her arms.
Step Three:
When the designs are finished, either iron the shirt to set the ink or put it in the tumble dryer for 30 minutes. I actually put the shirts in front of my wood fire for a couple of hours and that did the job too.
