I love my white leather couch. Bought 5 yrs ago, it's been through some rough treatment with my now 6yr old doing everything from somersaults, toy car rallies, plane landings, drawing, running, and trampolining on it. We have never been really "precious" about it, it's here to be used, not simply looked at. It still looks pretty good though, considering.
What I have never liked is the effort I have made several times a year in maintaining it with leather cleaner and leather conditioner. Add to that even more frequent wiping down with warm soapy water. Even after all that elbow grease, I can still see the dirt in the grain. Leather brushes, special cloths, nothing ever really worked as well as I would have liked it to, especially on the most used part.
To the left, just a few wipes and you can see the difference, to the right, the entire top right square has been wiped - you can see it is much brighter than the others
That was, until I saw a tip on my local mother's Facebook page. Now, I have to declare my love for the CHUX MAGIC ERASER. With minimum effort, my couch is starting to sparkle like new again. If only I'd known this years ago, it's shine would never have dulled.
For those like me who were unaware of the magic these sponges work on a white leather couch, you can purchase your CHUX MAGIC ERASER from the supermarket, I bought a 2 pack for $6. You can find cheaper ones in the $2 shops but they will fall apart quicker. Now, to finish the rest of it.
Thanks for the tip Christina, our white couch that was reserved for the "Pope's" official visit has been secretly used by our boys and their friends for years and is in need of a clean. I was wondering how I was going to do it, so your tip is timely!
