How to Change Your Showerhead

My wife asked me the other day to change our showerhead as it was leaking.

I said it was too hard to do, so she replied that she would show me how, so I could change it next time.

So I stood back, taking the photos, while she changed the showerhead for me.

First thing is to turn off the main water supply at the meter.

Then with an adjustable spanner unscrew the arm of the showerhead.

Clean away any scum buildup from around the outlet.

Now put on the new baseplate and fit on the new arm.

Then attach the connecting hose to underneath of the arm (only if it comes with one).

Make sure you have put the new washers inside the shower head.

Now turn on the main water supply again.
Check for any leaks.

You are now ready for your next shower.

So remember, if you cannot do it, get your spouse to do it for you.
