There's something wonderful about sitting down in front of a small stack of pancakes with syrup dripping down the sides or fruit all over them. If you're one of the many who are a fan of the food,
you'll be happy to know that National Pancake Week is February 19 – 25. They're filling, delicious, decadent and certainly deserve their own celebration. Whether you make them at home or go out to eat, there are plenty of ways to participate in the week.
Have a pancake potluck
One of the best ways to spread the pancake love is by hosting a pancake potluck. Invite your family and friends over and ask each person to bring a different type of pancakes, preferably one they've never had before. It will give every guest a chance to try something different and reignite their love of the breakfast food.

A basic pancake
recipe requires only a handful of ingredients including baking powder, flour, eggs, salt, sugar, butter and milk. I'm not a big fan of plain pancakes; I think they're a bit too boring. If you feel the same way, there are a variety of other varieties to make including
Banana Pancakes ,
Chocolate Chip Pancakes ,
Beer Pancakes ,
Pumpkin Pancakes ,
Cinnamon Roll Pancakes ,
Blueberry Pancakes , and
PB & J Pancakes . There are plenty of varieties to make for yourself or to make for others.
Have a different version every day
There are more than enough types to try one or more each day throughout National Pancake Week. You don't have to eat them just for breakfast. They're also delicious to have for a snack or for dinner. Add different toppings on them each day if you'd like, such as loose chocolate chips, powdered sugar, fruit, and nuts.
Visit breakfast eateries
If you're looking to go out for pancakes during National Pancake Week, there are plenty of places to go in NYC. Some of the top eateries to go where you can dig into a stack of delicious pancakes include
Shopsins on Essex Street,
Clinton Street Baking Company on Clinton Street,
Good Enough to Eat on Amsterdam Avenue, and
Kitchenette which has one location on Amsterdam Avenue and another in Tribeca on Chambers Street.
Wear themed accessories
Besides eating pancakes during National Pancake Week, another option is to deck yourself out in themed accessories. Some options to consider include

Scented Pancake Stack Ring ,
Stacked Pancakes Bag/Mobile Charm , or a
Pancake Necklace . All are inexpensive enough options that you can purchase a gift for yourself and a loved one.
With so many ways to celebrate National Pancake Week from February 19 – 25, you may just want to continue digging in even after the week is over. Whether you're eating basic pancakes, wheat, vegan, or one of the many flavor varieties, chances are there's at least one type that will tickle your taste buds.
