Although we should celebrate life every day, Celebration of Life Week is in January. If you haven't been appreciating your life the way you think you should be, the first week of the new year is a great chance to start. It can encourage you to keep up the process for the rest of the year and beyond. When you express gratitude for your life on a daily basis, it can make you happier in every area from work to personal relationships. From thanking those who raised you to making a plan for your life, there are a variety of ways to partake in Celebration of Life Week in January.
Send a gift to your parents / guardian
If you were lucky enough to have a parent or guardian in your life who did a wonderful job raising you, thank them during Celebration

of Life Week. They don't even have to know what it's for; just send a bouquet of flowers, a fruit bouquet, or take them out to dinner and tell them it's just because they're wonderful.
Do something you always wanted to
Celebrate your life by doing something you've always wanted to do. If you're in NYC, you can take a Trapeze Class, take ballroom dancing classes, or even try odd food you've never had before, such as Ostrich or Spicy Tongue at Del Posto. The city is full of opportunities to do things you've never done, so embrace all it has to offer and start doing more things that interest you.
Donate to a charity
There are many who are battling to keep their life due to an illness, so during Celebration of Life Week in January, donate to a charitable organization that helps others do something they've always wanted to do. One great option if you're in New York is the Make-A-Wish Foundation Metro New York Chapter. They grant wishes to children who are fighting life-threatening medical conditions. You'll be helping someone who only wants a chance to celebrate their life.
Make your bucket list
Chances are there's a whole slew of items you want to do at some point in your life, so put pen to paper and make your bucket list. Write down everything you want to do, and if possible, start making plans to get some of the things done. Whether it's taking

a trip, finishing up school or even getting that haircut you've always wanted, even finishing up one item on your list can be just the push you need to get more things done as well.
Schedule checkups One way to celebrate your life is by doing your best to stay healthy. Schedule a physical at the doctor and your 6 month checkup at the dentist. You'll be able to get a clean bill of health or get pointers about how you can improve. Should you need a new dentist or doctor in NYC, there are certainly plenty high quality ones to choose from.
There are so many ways to celebrate your life, so during Celebration of Life Week during the first week in January, partake in as many ways as possible.
