Shout outs to all the ballers and shot callers. At the start of the year many set themselves goals, target they'd like to reach. One of the top goals is to be financially sound, or to make more money. In reality making money, more money than what you already earn, is easier said than done.
Of course there are many ways to save money, but how do you 'ball on a budget', or at least keep up with friends who are seemingly worry free and appear to holiday more often than work. Meanwhile you're working every hour so you can pay your rent. In a bid to keep up with the Jones' I've managed to put together a list of tips to help you manage your money, while seeming to lead a lush lifestyle.

Get friendly: Restaurants, bars, cafes, hairdressers. Business owners are more likely to offer cut prices and discounts if you're nice to them. A smiling, friendly face makes everyone feel better, so start listening to your hairdresser when they ask about your weekend - ask about theirs.
Do you have a friend, brother, cousin, or sister who only dresses in the finest designer drapery? If so, then why not ask them if you can borrow one of their pieces for a favour? Imitation is the biggest form of flattery and when you've got a big event ahead your friends will admire, and be none the wiser.
Share: Sharing your gift, or talent can come in handy. If you're a dab hand at sewing, cooking, or piano playing then why not offer your services and see what doors it opens? Your friends will soon be jealous as the favours and thank you's flood in, in the form of money and invites.
Buy from the supermarket. To cost of Veuve Cliquot in nightclubs can range from £2-300 per bottle. Buy the champagne from the supermarket and the price will be reduced by at least 30%, if not 40% if you're a savvy shopper.
Places like Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, The Mail Box and House of Fraser are forever hosting free events, you just don't know about them. Keep your ear to the ground and check out social media. If you can manage to get seen as the hottest event in town your friends won't know that you're sipping free champagne and getting the bus home after the party.
So now you can sip like Jay Z and his Queen B while singing: "I talk like this, 'cause I can back it up." In her song with Kanye West Ego.
