The Galleria in Houston is huge
Houston Galleria is a large shopping centre at 5085 Westheimer Road Houston, in Post Oak (Uptown).
The shopping centre is set over 3 floors, and is a $20 to $25 taxi ride from Downtown, and is open everyday of the week. This is Texas' largest shopping centre, and includes 400 stores, restaurants, hotels, and offices.
Major stores include Macy's, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue. There is also a large food court, and a range of other fashion, homeward, and gift stores. Free WiFi at the centre is also handy for checking emails during a coffee break.
An ice skating rink is also situated in the centre of the mall for those after a more active experience.
The Galleria provides a range of luxury and designer outlets, and this is not a great place for discounts or specials. It is a good place to escape the heat, and spend a relaxing afternoon.
