I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Not Your Average Pub
Situated on the Corso at Manly, The Steyne Hotel is one of Manly's oldest pubs. Located across the road from the well known Manly beach, it is popular with locals as well as visitors.
The historic brick facade is deceptive as the interior is bright modern and much larger than expected. The six bars provide something for everyone. The Round Bar for a beer with the locals, music in Moonshine from Thursday night to Sunday, sport on the big screen in the huge internal Beer Garden or a cocktail with the girls in the elegant Glasshouse.
The bistro in the ground floor Seaside Bar provides excellent quality meals of fresh seafood and pub grub classics. There is plenty of seating here but the window seats go fast and they do not take reservations on weekends and public holidays. The Glasshouse gin & tonic bar is a beautiful, airy, plant-filled space on the rooftop with plenty of private seating for groups and stunning views over the beach and Manly. The menu is full of small plates, sliders and tasting boards perfect for sharing with friends.
Hotel Steyne is family friendly, has areas available for functions, a bottleshop, TAB and even has accomodation facilities. Check the website and Facebook page for details of What's On and opening hours of the various venues.
