There is always a real Melbourne feel to an old style art-deco pub that provides great food, cold beer and a decent drop of red. I'm embarrassed to say that this was the first time I popped in and it certainly won't be the last. It is really intimate and warm and not a play area in sight.

I met up with a couple of friends and we had the chicken burger which was to die for, while the others had the Bangers and Mash and the Parma. Piggie alert: My friend couldn't finish her Parma, so I was more than happy to assist. It was delicious.

The pub is a couple of blocks from Etihad Stadium, so dinner is on after a Sunday twilight game. There were some happy Western Bulldogs fans that dropped in for a beer and meal after a big win. The bar staff were helpful and smiling and happy to take a photo of your group on your smartphone. I highly recommend this wonderful little pub.
