Food trucks have taken the street food market in Brisbane by storm over the last year, and with more and more starting up, it's a wonder where to fit them all.
This is where Hotel Jen came up with an ingenious idea of holding a local food truck event in the hotel's driveway, with the inaugural function held last October to much success.
Riding on that success from last year, now sees the return of Hotel Jen's Food Truck Friday, on the first Friday of every month with two of the events in January and February, already completed.
With the regular food truck operators, Char Baby BBQ, How we Rolls, Fire n' Dough pizza and Mr America Hot Dog and Fries, all of whom have been with Hotel Jen's concept from the outset, are now joined by new comers not only to the hotel's food truck line up but to the food truck phenomenon. J'Adore Crepes, Puerto Taco and Mangania Mangania and the hotel's own restaurant Nest, just some of the food choices that round up the impressive and ever increasing range of food to choose from.
With live music from emerging young artists of Brisbane, playing at the driveway entrance, to the eclectic seating arrangements provided by the hotel, all of which is under cover in their driveway, over a three hour lunch period, gives the workers of Brisbane City, an opportunity of a much needed break from the norms of the working week. And is a great way to get out of the office and break up the day to get ready for the weekend.
