Located on the far Eastern edge of Chelsea, is a fair choice, for the price. Its rooms are on the small side, but still comfortable. The hotel lacks a restaurant or on-site fitness centre but is only one block from a locally loved, Madison Square Park and its surrounding subway stations, shops and restaurants.



Nestled between Chelsea, Flatiron District, and NoMad area, the Wyndham Garden Hotel is eye-catching from the street, with a column of red, orange, blue and green tiles covering the centre of its facade from top to bottom. Inside, fun and carefree lobby decor matches the hotel's colorful exterior: bright walls, contemporary art pieces, and large paper lamps.

The Wyndham Garden Hotel Manhattan Chelsea West is located less than a block from small but beautiful Madison Square Park, close to the Empire State Building, Flatiron Building and Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as many shops and restaurants.



The hotel is One block from the subway line F; Two blocks from the underground lines 1 and R; Four blocks from the subway line 6, One block from Eataly, 20 minutes by subway from Central Park, 15 minutes by subway to Times Square,
30 minutes by subway to the ferry terminal to visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, 20 minutes by bus to Rockefeller Center, 25 minutes by subway to the American Museum of Natural History, 30-minute bus to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the "Met"), 20 minutes by bus to the Museum of Modern Art (the "MoMA")



Standard room types are around 200 square feet - small, but average for a New York hotel room. King suites with balcony rooms are slightly larger at around 300 square feet and have walk-in balconies (a rare feature in New York). One bedroom balcony suites are 400 square feet, and have a separate living area with a sofa and balcony strike. King rooms and suites have mini-fridges and microwaves.

Capatosta - the last on-site restaurant - has closed. Guests can access an outside fitness area, use the solitary computer station in-hall, and grab a free Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
