is a Taiwanese fast food chain which offers fried chicken and snacks. The store is tiny and is not the kind of place you would sit down at - after all that's not the point. As the name suggests, chicken is the main attraction here although other items such as chips are included on the menu. On my visit, I ordered the chicken bites with a side of sweet potato fries. After one bite, I was in heaven. The chicken was coated is flour before being fried, allowing it become tender and flavoursome. I tried to eat slowly but it was hard to resist! Although it may not be a healthy option for many, Hot Star is worth a visit if you are after something cheap or just want to try something different. I can't wait to visit again and try their 'large fried chicken' (apparently it's their most popular item).
