‘Take your protein pills & put your helmet on’ for fab shows
Say goodbye to winter and welcome in the warmth of spring with a heap of wonderful music events to enjoy from Sydney to Penrith and the Hunter Valley. Whether you're into opera, pop or rock, there's something for everyone with concerts in theatres and vineyards, tributes to legends and tours celebrating achievements.

Here's my picks for a variety of upcoming music events that are sure to have you singing and dancing to classics and current tunes:-

The Heart of the Matter

This show is a tribute to The Eagles and their fabulous music, when rock in the 70's was at its best. Five accomplished singers and musicians will take you down memory lane with greatest hits and a special praise to the voice of Hotel California's Don Henley.

In a club with lots of entertainment and several dining options, dinner is a feature with this show and your ticket includes a two-course meal plus a three drink passport for house beer, wine or soft drink.

When: 17th September with dinner at 7pm and show at 8pm

Where: EVAN Theatre at Panthers Entertainment Club, 123 Mulgoa Rd Penrith

Opera in the Vineyards

Presented by Good Weekend, this celebration of food, wine and opera is an evening under the stars with music from great composers, such as Mozart, Verdi and Puccini. Performed by Natalie Aroyan, Greta Bradman, David Hobson and Richard Troxell with The Metropolitan Orchestra, the heart and emotions will be stirred.

A program of romantic arias, duets and comic ensembles are bound to delight in the open air amphitheatre as the sun sets over this stunning location.

When: 8th October at 7pm, gates open 4pm

Rock Symphony in the Vines

Another tribute show, this time to David Bowie, and set in the great outdoors amongst vineyards with world-renowned conductor George Ellis leading the charge of the Australian Symphony Orchestra and the Ziggy Band, which features members of Jimmy Barnes' band, The Badloves, Baby Animals and The Whitlams.

It comes off the back of the 'Ziggy – Songs of David Bowie' sold out shows across the country and will feature classic hits such as Changes, Life on Mars, Suffragette City, Starman, Space Oddity and many more under the stars.

When: 15th October at 4pm

Andre Rieu

A giant in opera and folk music, the king of waltz is back on our shores with a new show full of fun and the passion he is known for. With his Johann Strauss Orchestra, you can see this successful Dutch violinist on stage in multiple shows across various states. In NSW, he plays in both Newcastle and Sydney.

Having sold a massive 40 million CD's and DVD's, these shows will be nothing short of spectacular and with his European good looks he will have the ladies gushing and swooning over him yet again.

When: 21st October and 22nd October at 8pm, and 23rd October at 6pm

Delta Goodrem Wings of the Wild Tour

Australia's The Voice sweetheart coach and singing/songwriter sensation Delta Goodrem embarks on a tour that will feature songs spanning her 15 year career. It is her first headline tour since her successful 2009 Believe Again outing.

With 17 top ten singles, 14 ARIA Awards and a Silver Logie Award, you can expect an incredible live show, make that multiple incredible shows as she is performing in multiple states during October and November. There's VIP Meet and Greet Packages in addition to concert only tickets. In Sydney, details are below.
