A festival that combines great music and wine

When my friend messaged me in the morning and told me he wasn't able to come with me to the Hot Dub Wine Machine Music Festival, I thought about staying home but then decided that I would still go and have a good time! After all, I had never been to a festival before.

The Vineyards

So I put on my festival dress and headed off to Pialligo Estate, where the festival was being held. The first thing I noticed when I got there was how lovely the VIP area was - think lush green grass, plenty of cushions, a badminton court,= and small pavilions with plenty of chairs and tables! It looked like something out of a magazine.

It was the perfect area to chill out in while I listened to the first few sets - because it was close enough to the stage to hear clearly and there was no need to physically see the DJs. However, when it came to performances like Haiku Hands (winners of triple j unearthed) Touch Sensitive and Sneaky Sound System it was definitely worth going over to the mosh pit to see the artists perform as they put on an amazing show!

Accompanying the awesome music was some great wine, which was no surprise since the festival was held at a winery. And if wine wasn't your thing, there were other drinks and food available for purchase too - my favourite thing was definitely the chicken sliders!

All in all, it was a great day and I'm keen to head back again next with a group of friends to enjoy the music and wine!
