Hot Chocolate Fudge Sauce Recipe

In the words of
Star Trek's Deanna Troi, 'I never met a chocolate I didn't like.' Be it a truffle, a cake, or indeed a sauce, chocolate is my failing. What I love most about chocolate is the moment that it melts in the mouth and releases all those happy endorphins in my brain. But why wait? Why not eat it when it's already melted? Pure Bliss.
I originally found this recipe in a microwave book from the eighties, but when I did microwave the ingredients, it got a little messy, so to avoid any volcanic eruptions and tedious cleaning, I would recommend using a saucepan.
I have also changed the original recipe and use soya products instead, so it is suitable for vegans (as long as you use pure cocoa powder rather than drinking chocolate).
Makes: approximately 600ml
Kcal/Serving: 56 per 15ml (based on the brands I used)
Cooking Time: 4 mins
Ingredients:
350g icing sugar
50g cocoa powder
50g cornflour
100g soya butter
250ml light soya milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Mix all the ingredients except for the vanilla extract.
2. Either microwave on high for 4 mins, or simmer in a saucepan until melted.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
I drizzled my sauce over some vanilla ice cream and it was delicious. If 600ml is too much, then you can do what I did and just halve the ingredients.
