Want to have some fun, relax with friends and family? Have a great time without high expenses? Try hosting a Amazing Movie Night right in your own living room. Invite your friends, pull out the movies and of course, you can't forget the snacks.
Choosing a Theme
Choosing a theme can be a difficult task with so many options to select from. Different actors, genres, directors and even different times. Perhaps you could try picking some movies in a certain series or selecting from the list below:
Ask each person beforehand which theme they would appreciate seeing and then going by the favourite. It's a great idea and takes some pressure off you.
Selecting Your Movies
Selecting the right movie for each person can also be a difficult task. You may consider these things when choosing a movie.
Simply rent the movies, borrow them from a friend or ask each person to bring in a movie revolving around the selected theme, each movie will be different making the night a blast.
Be creative, snacks are a key point of every movie night. Get busy in the kitchen and start popping your own popcorn, how about some fun little boxes/packs of lollies and chocolates for each person, don't forget the drinks and if you like you could order some pizza. Whatever you like, do it. Make it fun and enjoy yourself.
Make sure you have plenty of seats ready. Chairs, Couches and Bean Bags, if you are unable to provide enough simply ask a friend or family member to bring one along.
Organizing a Movie Night can be a tasking challenge but in the end is worth the fun of relaxing with friends, eating handfuls of popcorn right in front of the TV. Just remember to sit back and have fun.
Lots of fun, thanks for sharing. When my kids were little we wanted to create a ritual so as they grew to teenagers, our home would be a place they and their friends would want to come to. We decided Saturday night is movie night, every week. We have a standard dinner of sausages (veggie) in bread and fill a tray with treats of teas, snacks, special once a week drinks, things we have been given through the week and saved for special.
We carry it all downstairs and settle in with blankets and pillows and a fire, one is now a teenager and our preferred Saturday night out is still movie night in.
