is a unique horse riding destination. While offers the usual horse riding lessons, horse trails, and pony rides, their difference stems from their not-for-profit model.



Many of the horses at were rescued by the organisation and given extensive medical treatment and care before being integrated into the riding programs.



Riding programs include one or two hour lessons on weekday afternoons and Saturdays; pony rides and meet the animals every second Sunday; and horse trail rides for children and adults on the alternate Sunday. Pony Camps are offered for children during school holidays for both beginner and experienced riders 5 years and over, while Horse Camps are offered for beginners or experienced riders who are 12 years and over.

aims to provide affordable and inclusive access to horse-oriented activities for young people of all abilities. Health-focused programs include horse assisted learning and equine therapy.



's mission is to improve the wellbeing of young people through working with horses and on the land. Many other rescued animals live at as well, such as chickens, ducks, goats, and cows. Many riders at , including children under adult supervision, stay on after lessons and learn to care for these animals as well.



Although Horses in mind is located at Hemmant, just 10Km from the Brisbane CBD, the location feels rural with paddocks running alongside the wetlands of Moreton Bay. The staff are passionate about their animals and youth wellbeing.
