See Amazing Cars and Bikes At Horsepower Crew - In the Army
Horsepower Crew is a community group which specialises in holding events for motor sports enthusiasts in South Australia. Their latest event is also the biggest and most ambitious: In the Army is a motor show being held at Warradale Army Barracks on Morphett Road.
In the Army is open to all types of cars and bikes. Entries from car clubs are displayed in groups, and there will be hundreds of great looking cars and bikes to browse under the shady gum trees at the army barracks. You'll see a heap of different horsepower on display, anything from a really unique antique, to an exotic - two wheels and everything in between. Also on display are some you never get to see on the road including Army and military police vehicles, and restored police cars from the Police Historical Museum. You might even see some of the colourful vintage cars that are so popular in Cuba.
The motor show runs from 10am until 4pm and entry is a suggested donation of $5 per car with all proceeds going to the Leukaemia Foundation. There's plenty of free parking on site and loads of fun things to see and do for motoring fans. Find specials and shop for bargains from all your favourite motor stores at the market stalls. Look for custom mods for your car or bike from the many retailers showing their wares, and grab some raffle tickets to win great prizes.
A whole variety of vendors from motor sports will be around Warradale Army Barracks competing to catch your attention. See Shannons for a quote on your motoring enthusiast insurance, visit Pedders to talk about upgrading your suspension, and ask Perfection Automotive Detailing what products are best to keep your machine clean. Mechanical workshops including Custom Importz, The Garage, Spikes Auto and Automotive Therapy will chat about your next service, tune up or how to get that little bit more horsepower.

Have you ever wanted to know what it's like to ride a Harley Davidson? You'll be able to fulfil the dream when you visit the Adelaide Harley-Davidson bike works stand. They have a "Rolling Road" for you to sit on a real Harley Davidson, start it up, shift through the gears, and maybe the fan will give you that wind in your hair feeling: just close your eyes and live the dream.
There's plenty of free live music entertainment from the resident DJ at In the Army motor show, and a load of activities for kids. Your children will be excited to jump on the inflatable castle, then get their face painted and buy a twisty balloon. A sausage sizzle will also support the Leukemia Foundation and keep your hunger at bay.
