Horse Riding in Sydney

There are many places in Sydney where you can enjoy the fun and excitement of horse riding. Horse riding is not limited to anyone.
Unexperienced riders don't have to sit on the sidelines, the tour guides and horse trainers, will give assistance in learning how to guide and control the horse before leaving the yard. With guided tours, after you have learnt the basics on how to control your horse, the guides will remain with you as you go on your ride showing you all the features of the area. Some horse riding centres will allow those who feel comfortable after the guided tour, to leave the group and do some exploring of your own. One such place that allows this is Australia's largest and most successful horse riding and outdoor adventure centre Glenworth Valley.

For experienced riders, they can enjoy the fun of free range horse riding. With free range riding, riders get to enjoy their horse ride on their own time. Despite how you confident you feel about horse riding, you will still be given instructions on how to manage and control the horse you will be riding on the day. At Glenworth Valley, they do prefer riders to have ridden at least 50 times before going out on your own, and the decision really comes down to the yard manager on the day.
For children 3-10 there is lead pony/horse rides, where an adult is required to lead the pony/horse as the child rides.

There are many other places in Sydney where people can enjoy horse riding, other than Glenworth Valley. Some of the top horse riding centres in Sydney are:
Morre Park Stables - situated opposite Centennial Park a premium horse riding and education centre. Offering rides from 1/2 hour to 1 and 1/2 hours, the most popular being the 1 hour guided tour. The equestrian centre here is for jump and flat work lessons and for private horses.

Eastside Horse Riding Academy - horse riding in the heart Sydney. For riders of all ability, the safe confines of Eastside Riding equestrian centre of the centennial parklands. For the more experienced there is the adventurous Centennial Parklands is situated right next door with a 3.8 kilometre bridle path and gymkhana grounds for flatwork and jumping tuition.

Blue Mountains Horse Riding - a wide range of horse riding adventures for all riding abilities, whether you are experienced or just a beginner. Horse riding in the Blue Moutains, is a great way to discover the beauty of the Blue Mountains.
