Blink and you'll miss this little gem down on the child of Lonsdale Street (Little Lonsdale Street).
It's the delicate mix between eclectic and eclectic - no bold signs or flashing lights, no bright colours or grabbing imagery. From outside, it appears like any other hole-in-the-wall restaurant that is Melbourne's unique signature. And just like many of Melbourne's hole-in-the-wall type of places, Horse Bazaar will make you wonder how you never stumbled upon it before.
Offering Japanese soul food and platters worth skipping lunch for, Horse Bazaar is the perfect atmosphere for that quick after work drink when you actually intend to make it to work the next day.
Horse Bazaar also has a mic and stage and often hosts 'Bazaar Tales', a story-telling series where both local and international comedians, writers, musicians, and journalists perform a certain theme on the 1st and 3rd of every month. The January theme is 'SCHOOL DAYS' and their next show will be on Monday 30 January 2017.
You know those old school stories that come up when you're drinking with friends and you laugh until you hurt when you remember how ridiculous you were? Yeah? Go tell that story at Horse Bazaar.
