History comes alive
History comes to life in Horrible Histories: Awful Egyptians - Live on Stage. This is a UK production inspired by the popular children's books by Terry Deary. The show will be in Perth, as part of a national tour, at His Majesty's Theatre, from Friday 3rd January to Friday 10th January, 2014.
This amazing show combines live stage action with 3D video, called Bogglevision. The special effects will thrill and astound you as historical figures and events come to life on stage in front of your very eyes.
The Horrible Histories: Awful Egyptians - Live on Stage show gives the audience a taste of of what life, and death, were like thousands of years ago. The show incorporates all things Egyptian - Mummies, pharaohs, ancient symbols, hieroglyphics, dust, rocks and much more.
Discover some foul facts about life and death in ancient Egypt. Learn all about the Egyptians, the Pyramids, the Pharaohs and the Mummies in a thoroughly entertaining, and fun, show.
The show begins with archaeologist Horatio Storey and his assistant attempting to steal a statue of the pharaoh Ramses II from a dusty old museum of antiquities. With a little help from schoolgirl Maisie, the trio somehow conjure up the spirit of Ramses, who then joins the gang in a series of stories dealing with such things as mummification, pyramid building, the short life of Tutankhamun, and the soul's journey through the afterlife.
Fantastically educational and entertaining, this show is one that kids will love, enjoy and remember.
