Is there anything better than a beer at the pub on a Sunday afternoon? What about a beer at the pub with your dog on a Sunday afternoon?


Hops and Hounds is a monthly event which unites two of man's best friends. On the last Sunday of the month, punters are invited to bring their furry best friends to the brewery at 4 Hearts Brewery in Ipswich.

Four-legged visitors to Hops and Hounds will receive free homemade treats, while their two-legged companions can enjoy live music and craft beer, starting from 12.30 pm.

If you're feeling peckish, their Dovetails Dining restaurant offers a range of modern Australian fare, from snacks and share plates to bush tucker-inspired dishes like kangaroo scallopini. Their lime trio pannacotta, served with fresh finger limes, makes a deliciously fresh dessert for a summer's day.

4 Hearts is a brewery committed to the adage that the best beer is drunk in the shadow of the brewery that made it. Located at the historic Pumpyard on Limestone Street, Ipswich's first source of water, local brewers turned it into a microbrewery in 2013.
