Part of a holy trinity of waterfalls (Beauchamp, Triplet & Hopetoun) Hopetoun Falls sits across the Aire River, located near Binn Road. It is a highly photographed waterfall, just type it into Google or Instagram and you'll have an influx of stunning images. Seeing the waterfall in person will make you realise why it's frequented in postcards, calendars and other travel itineraries pertaining to The Great Ocean Road.

The setting consists of lush green flora, thriving in the mist produced by the 30-metre waterfall. There is a viewing platform near the small car park, it is however covered in foliage and diminishes the spectacle of the waterfall. This platform does have wheelchair and pram access, but after that it's a steep set of steps to the other platform situated near the bottom of the falls. Remember to take your water as the walk back up the steps can be quite challenging.

Once you reach the other platform you'll have the jump the railing if you want a much closer photo of the falls (watch out for the slippery rocks). The water flow is more extensive during the winter period, but it still has ample flow even in summer. Add this to your list as it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls Australia has to offer.
**
HOW TO GET THERE:** From Lavers Hill, turn into Colac-Lavers Hill Road, then you'll see name boards pointing to Hopetoun Falls & The Great Ocean Road on your right. Follow this dirt road until you come to a junction where you have to turn right, the board points to the falls.
